Hmph...

Yesterday was my first day back to school from my week long Spring Break.  I am so exhausted, it's really hard to get back on track after a long relaxation of doing nothing for a whole week.  I miss the feeling of not worrying about due dates from my classes...Anyways, I rather continue on with my life.  Let me think...the things that I have done over the past week.  I crocheted two chick-lets!  They are way cute.  I only took a few pictures of my first made chick.  I am way proud of them.  I have been thinking of making a bunch and selling them and donating part of the money to church missions, charity, etc.  It's just a thought, not really a set plan.  I have so many ideas, but putting them in action is really hard when school and homework are filled in my mind.
Last week, I did post a blog of my WR and being dedicated to it...I have been slacking.  I need to kick my butt for it.  There is no excuses; I really need to get into shape.  Yesterday, I decided instead of running, I would do Zuzanna's workouts 5 times a week.  NO EXCUSES.  I started yesterday and will be doing a workout today.  Today's Zuzanna's workout is GAGA for POKER FACE WORKOUT.  I'm way excited to try it out.  You can try it out too.  The video is posted below.

I found out that So You Think You Can Dance (SYTYCD) season 8 premieres in May and America's Best Dance Crew (ABDC) in April!  I barely watch TV, but these shows are my must-to-watch.  I am excited for the two.  That is all I have today. Not much is going on in my life, except school and homework.  I hope your lives are much more exciting than mine.

Peace,
Jojo

Swimmer Treading on Land

Hello, BRs!

I have wonderful news to tell you, but first I need to tell you my past situation that leads to my wonderful news.  Last year, I started doing home workouts with Zuzana and Freddy for about 4 months and shown progress of weight loss.  Ever since my winter vacation, I stopped doing their workouts.  BUT, I did not stop working out; no matter how much time I spent at the gym doing cardio and weight lifting I just could not lose weight (I actually gained 10 lbs.).  This one step forward  and two steps back has been keeping me from reaching my weight goal.  At first, I thought the first 1-3lbs. weight gain was from muscle soreness and swelling, but I kept gaining poundage week after week.  So, yesterday I have decided to redo my Workout Regime (WR), which leads to my wonderful news: My WR.
I am going to start running.  This may seem nothing new to you, but for me, as a swimmer, this is a huge leap of change.  I use to swim 4-5 times a week doing over 5000 yards for each day.  When it came to running, I literally could not run a full lap without stopping.  I HATED the feeling of sweat and the after taste (I get this gross bitter taste.  Is this just me?) in my mouth after a mile run.  Anyways, I think I have maxed out in swimming and need to take on a new body challenge.  Deep down, I wanted to be a decent runner, but did not have much motivation in me.  Now, I have so much motivation and confidence to run and be the best I can be as a runner.  I am doing this 8 week running challenge, at the end my goal is to run 3 miles non-stop.  It is ambitious and I want to try it out.
Along with running, I am going to start doing home workouts with Zuzana and Freddy again.  They are inspirational and amazing team.  Bodyrocker has a tight knit group of people who enjoy working out without going to the gym.  These workouts are not sissy, they are short and intense!  Try one of their workouts.  (Here is the link to their website: bodyrock.tv)
I hope by the time I reach my 8 week mark, I have reached my goal of being a runner.  This journey is going to be a challenge and having my sister doing this with me helps me to stay motivated.  I will post once a week on my progress and my thoughts.  I hope to see good results.
I would like to hear your WR, thoughts, and/or experiences.

Peace and Love,
Jojo

Introduction of My New Blog

Dear Blog-Readers (BRs),
I am glad to say that this is my first post on this blog.  I had previous blogs before, which they did not last very long, but this time I am committing to Inside the Mind of Jojo (IMJ).  My blog is self-explanatory...if it is not, I shall give you a glimpse of the things I will be posting on this blog.  This blog is mostly for my use to vent on random things (for the world to see), do fundraisers for various organizations, and post websites/blogs that I find myself enjoying and would like to share to you all. Also, I will post vlogs on this blog whenever I feel ambitious/courageous enough to make a video...we'll see.  I probably will add more to the list, but for now, I just have this simple layout in my head.
You might have noticed that I have highlighted letters in red.  I like to abbreviate long words; it is easier to shorten words rather than typing them the long way.  So far, I have two abbreviations: BR and IMJ.  I will be using these abbreviations throughout my blog.  I will have a side bar that has all the abbreviations for my new BRs.
I hope that I receive positive feedback from my BRs, so I may be a better service in intriguing your boredom.  I also hope this blog broadens people's thoughts and be opened to other people's opinions.  I quote myself (I sound so big-headed, but I can not remember a better quote at the top of my head right now.)  "Be encouraging and kind to others so there be a peace of mind."  I DO NOT tolerate cyber-bullying, hate comments, etc (anything that will hurt anyone physically or psychologically), but I do accept constructive criticism.  There are positive ways to express your thoughts/ ideas.  I want this blog to start out positively and have a comfortable environment for my BRs to connect.  There are a lot of things I want to share and I am excited for the future of IMJ.

Peace and Love,
Jojo
